Did you know that the public register in Spain is published online on public pages?
There is no need to register anywhere or access search engine to find a Director / Shareholder.

The website infocif.es does give everything about an "empresa" and it is available from Google.

That was an information especially for those who are interested in the new VAT for continent Spain & for Canary islands.

So for instance, let imagine you are american and you have a borderline website on which you have published your "empresa S.L" at the end.

A low enforcement officer just needs to google it and get your name right away.

Yes you're right it is indeed possible to a ownership lookup at a Spain company. However, it doesn't comes to an surprise most company registry's in Europe have open company databases where you can find all kind of data for a company including director, latest audited tax reports and a lot more.

I don't think OP considered Spain to be an offshore jurisdiction but more like he wanted to let people know that there is no privacy what so ever in Spain!

Admin, there is a special status on Canary islands called the ZEC with a 4% corporate tax but some requirements.

But there are requirements:
In Las Palmas de canarias, you have to invest in 100,000 euros in tangible assets in the course of 2 years & employ 5 persons.

Lowtax - Global Tax & Business Portal | Related Information - Canary Islands Special Zone

This Tax status should end on the 31th of december 2019 but the Spanish gov. tries to extend it to 2026 at the EU.
