Thanks to some luck and some work, I'm going to be receiving a large sum of Monero soon. I've been wondering, is it possible for me to get cash in exchange for it somewhere? I know that cryptocurrency ATMs exist, and I have no problem converting said Monero to Bitcoin. I'd prefer any method I use to not require any verification. Just as long as I can get good, clean USD for my Monero.

Your answer is on Bisq.

Peer to Peer at your own risk but if you know what you are doing that is your best choice. There is no way to verify you will receive good, clean USD. Monero or any other crypto USD has no traceability.

Why are you not just sending the Monero to a few Monero wallets, then fully shred these wallets from the PC so the priv keys will never be recoverable, then exchange to BTC and get someone to get you a source of fund for the BTC and receive the money on your personal/company bank account to really make economic use out of the money. Because regulations for physical cash are getting worse and worse every day....

Depends of course about the sum. If "large" for you means something below 50k€, then I would also go with the way from @<<snippet>> . But if the sums are bigger, than it may be a real pain in the a*s and a lot of work to step by step slowly convert the money with fake IDs which quite often end in blocked unrecoverable funds after hitting various thresholds.

Nice username BTW, so much history with it. Its very easy to deal with Monero and get clean cash/USD. And you won't even require any verification. As we all know Localbitcoins have initiated verification tiers because of AML restrictions and it is impossible to do cash dealings or any other dealings as unverified over at Localbitcoins. Cashing out bitcoins unverified is next to impossible nowadays. But, in case of Monero it is very easy.

Localmonero is your way to go. Decentralized exchange for monero, you can transact as much as you can without any form of verification, you can also meet up face to face for cash dealings. Its just like localbitcoins of old days. Localmonero site is also accessible on Tor and they have an option to disable Javascript for the more paranoids. They also have escrow built and review system for traders. Many at DNMs use Localmonero. You can search reddit monero sub for more feedback on Localmonero

Thanks. LocalMonero definitely seems pretty good. Definitely some of the best advice I've gotten so far here.

Thanks, I was actually surprised no one had taken it yet. Thankfully, I got it first.

that's something I will look into. Do you deal with 3rd party people again like we do with localbitcoins?
Finally do you have a URL for localmonero?

Ok, Localbitcoins was pretty good until they had to accept EU AML laws starting March 18, 2018. They had to put in place strict verification tiers and gone were the verification free cash dealings. Localmonero was setup in 2017, its based out of BVI and its main developer was from HK, since they are out of EU, they don't have to follow EU 5AMLD guidelines.

On Localmonero you don't have to be verified, you can use Tor and has a .onion address accessible via tor. You can trade without any limitation and you can use escrow facility, just like good ol Localbitcoins of 2014-15.

There is a huge community of Monero users you can find in reddit.com subreddit monero at reddit.com/r/Monero. So, if you do a Google search of r/monero you will find an active and very helpful monero user community of 181000 members, including the monero developers and creators. In that monero subreddit you can find feedback and analysis of Localmonero and its entire development history, its pretty open.

it is well known, localbitcoins but the other one, LocalMonero, I didn't know, is it a sub service for localbitcoins?
Localmonero is a separate entity from Localbitcoins and is very well known and vetted monero p2p exchange among monero users. As I already stated above, Localmonero development history can be found on reddit.com/r/monero, once on that subreddit you can easily search for Localmonero. I can't post links as I don't have privileges, or else I would have provided the exact links to the posts on reddit.

I have been using Monero since 2015 and its the best way to clean my Bitcoin earnings. Instead of using mixers, which are of no use, I use monero to clean my bitcoins and cash out.

Always use Monero subaddress, a monero subaddress starts with the number "8". Subaddresses are 99.99% untraceable if you use with tor. Never use your Monero wallet address for transactions as they can be traceable under certain conditions.
