Yes, a legal entity can own property in Switzerland. If the company is Swiss but owned by non-residents, I think you need the same type of permission as a non-resident individual.

But all in all, buying property in Switzerland is a quite easy process. Like most things Swiss, it's very efficient.

Owning property in Switzerland on the other hand is quite difficult and expensive. Property tax varies by canton and commune, but can reach over 1%. You also have to pay tax on 60-70% your potential rental income (Rental Value Tax) even if you aren't renting out. However, in combination with a mortgage, you can deduct some of it from taxes.

It's complicated. Make sure you have a good tax adviser/lawyer helping you.
