Not Russia
Trump talked about 3.5% tax for all transactions from US to outside. Then revenge tax for dividends. Then nothing happened.

One can keep his money in the US as a non resident foreigner without SSN or ITIN for decades. He can use US debit and sometimes credit cards. He doesn't have to move money between countries.

This seems to be the case so far.

Do you think it would change in the future?

If yes, based on citizenship? Or residency?

This would effect which countries or political blocs in your opinion?

American citizens of Japanese origins were put in camps and their wealth were stolen in WW2. I wonder if they saw it coming? Any ideas?

Let's say there's new political blocs like
EU-US-Israel vs RU-TR-Iran-China
Trump isn’t FDR, in a number of ways. My Italian grandmother hurried to swear in as a US citizen in December of 1941 to avoid that possibility and I much later applied for Italian citizenship by descent so I’d have options should things change. The only thing permanent is change, especially in law and policy. You should have a number of contingency plans and watch events carefully. Governments usually move slowly enough that you can see things unfold.

Might he? Maybe. Is it happening tomorrow or even next month? No. For now, it’s only talk.
