Hello to all.
I am an Italian citizen.
my passport expired during the covid block
I have ID card and driving license cards.
I would like to open an llc in new mexico because I need a local brand.
I ask:
1) to ask for a passport?
2) do I need a passport to request the opening of the mercury account?
3) can I make these requests with an identity card?

The llc is theoretically anonymous, questions:
1) when I ask for the ein I continue to be anonymous to the Italian state?
2) when I ask the mercury account I continue to be anonymous to the Italian state.

Thank you

I don't know why the IRS would share the EIN with the italians and NM has no public registry data so you should be fine. The Corporate Transparency act goes into effect supposedly in 2022 this will require you to give ownership data to FinCen yearly in the USA. This wont be publicly accessible and the IRS will already know about your company ownership due to the EIN request. This will however now add another agency knowing you own this and would FinCen share this with Italians? I'd say no not automatically. If they requested it? Maybe but who knows since this law hasn't came into effect. USA is no CRS since we have FATCA and it is known most FATCA data is one way street. US doesn't turn over much of anything to foreign government.

You should be ok however with mercury knowing about your Italian residency there risk there but is mercury CRS? no shouldn't be.
