Puerto Rico is BANKRUPT. Although Puerto Rico is prohibited from going through Chapter 9 of U.S Bankruptcy and has to go via PROMESA Act of 2016 to restructure their debt they are a 100% bankrupt territory of US. They cannot pay their debts or meet their obligations. Puerto Rico has been in a recession for 12 years and a fifth of the entire population have left Puerto Rico. Banks have also left the island and continue to do so.
I simply asked why you would consider banking in Puerto Rico? It is good for others to know what is influencing your choice.
