What is the best bitcoin wallet - hardware or software?

For a long time I have used the blockchain.com wallet but now I am looking for alternatives, it would be nice if you could name some of the really good ones or just the one that is your favorite?

I have been using trust wallet and coinbase wallet for small amounts, also anchorusd to convert from bitcoin to another currency quickly... But if it's for large amounts I will use a hardware wallet, I have been using both the ledger nano s and the ledger nano x and to be honest they are ok (but I won't buy another nano X, I think the nano S is enough).

BTW, the ledger live app is full of bugs, I use custom assets in the stellar network and if you have an address with custom assets registered in the app it will crash every time you open it.
