Hi , I live in a strange country for years
no one asked the Italian people who had bitcoins or ethereums in their purse...suddenly before Holy Easter, Ms. Meloni deliberated on the obligation to report virtual currencies, putting a lot of people in trouble.
Lately the hunt for money is furious, every slightest wrong movement is paid for.

Meloni should worry about the immigrants instead of taxing you but I guess Ukraine needs more money, so their officials can drive the latest Rolls Royce cars. The governments aim is to drain as much wealth as possible from the average Antonio, houses are already impossible to buy, cost of living is through the roof and none of you fight against it, so you could say it's well deserved?

I love how Meloni was billed as some sort of anti-establishment pick, yet she's just another neo-Marxist globalist.

The uniparty system.
exactly. That was hilarious.
But shes just the old rotten dish served in new fancy package.

Out of curiosity. What did change all of a sudden?

Maybe this is coordinated with the fancy one in Argentina, which seems to be coming from the same program. In Argentina, they recently also anounced some registration or smth.

yes we deserved it we are a people of sheep, soccer, restaurant, vacation and everything is fine for us. The country is already bankrupt, all that's missing is the signature to officially declare it. Think that in Italy the good Draghi has enacted a law on the possibility of seizing land for public utility...to date there will be hundreds of land seized all over Italy in order to occupy it with wind fields or solar panels...has anyone in the government said anything?NO The newspapers? NO. Fortunately there are courts that have carried out seizures. Our old President Cossiga was desperate for installing Mr. Draghi at the treasury sold off important Italian public companies. Go to youtube there is video.
Ms. Meloni in order to stay on the seat will slaughter us by becoming the worst enemy of the Italian people. Rather than cutting unnecessary spending they keep pressing us Italians: will Spain get us?Germany?Austria?

You have do declare how much crypto you hold on january 1 and december 31. If you have not declared in the past years you can make a "sanitoria" with a small penalty but you have to disclose every transaction how you got those coins (if you bought btc many years ago and declare now you have several millions of crypto you can expect a visit from the agenzia delle entrate or the guardia di finanza). And you pay capital gain tax of 26%. There is a lot more it came with a new law from 2023 under Meloni...

You pay 26% capital gains tax on unrealised gains? As in you bought Bitcoin in 2014, and simply held it to 2024, with no trades or sale?

That's a huge red flag for sure. They must be getting quite desperate over there I guess.
