Hi,

I'm and so many must be confused about the exact requirements to open a offshore company and the level of privacy.

I read (please add and / or correct) that the following is an requirement:

- copy of passport or other government issued photo id

- passport need to be certified by lawyer or banker or other authority

- utility bill in English or bank- / credit card statement

- all corporate documents with apostille

Is that correct? Or is ther anything else I need?

Please supply :hello:

That's correct! Please make sure that all the documents are bundled in 1 e-mail when submitting so it may be easier for all to get an overview when opening the offshore bank account.. in some case additional documents are required but in general this is pretty much it.

But be aware of the fact, that many offshore banks around the globe require a so called bank reference and - sometimes - a so called proffesional reference, to be issued by a laywer or a CPA !

Just google about these expressions.

Does Cyprus banks require something like that ?

Some do while other's dont. For instant Barclays in the Seychelles also don't care.

But in general your right most requires a bank / professional reference letter.

If you can´t get a bank reference, find an offshore bank that does not require such letter (i.e.: Barclays at Seycelles, as the Admin recently mentioned). Otherwise you won´t be able to open an offshore account.

Second that, also there are banks in Cyprus who not require a reference letter!
