That is a surprising good idea! Pretty easy to setup a gilbraltar or cyprus company with a anonymous nominee, buy the car in that name, register it in portugal, pay insurance and expenses with that company name, and rent me the car for a symbolic price. Will give that a thought!

First the car would be used, so the direct VAT is excluded because the first owner paid it. Since its an electric car, in portugal there is no import dutties, neither Co2 fees, only License plate, that costs 200euro The problem would be the insurance, but i can open activity as a service...

In portugal most people make 7-10k a year, this amount would be impossible to find someone, and also, i don't do anything related to money with family or friends. I prefer to have nothing to use that option honestly.

My money is mostly in crypto right now, what if i literally buy the car selling crypto with a bussiness account in Kraken directly to the car seller bank account in germany, and register the car in my name in portugal? That would be the easiest possible thing to do, but does it count as tax evasion?

No, i mean, using the portuguese company to buy the car, but using the cyprus company to legalize money here. This way i would be sending invoices to the cyprus company, and paying 23% taxes on the "services" provided by the portuguese company.
