Ok, I've done some research.
If I have UK company I'd be subject to VAT to the country of each customer. There's a set up to bundle all EU countries in together. US have no VAT. With AU customers I would pay the VAT/GST to the AU tax man.
So if the business is a UK Ltd then no matter where the country the customer is from, I have to forward VAT (which is included in the price they pay) to the UK tax office?
Yes - this is intended to be legit long term.
If I set up a UK Ltd company (UK is offshore for me) and run a subscription website, do I have to pay VAT on customers who do not reside in the UK?
I read in one place that I have to pay tax to the UK at whatever rate they have in the customer's country? (seems like a mess to calculate every...
So you can essentially hide money from your Govt? How do you spend it? Obviously anything with electronic payment, but what if you want to buy a car? Apologies for being a dumb-a*s.
Apologies for the dumb question/s. Most discussion on here is from people who are already across the basics of EMI.

But a question that is relevant to the OP:
Why the need for an EMI to receive funds as opposed to a normal bank account?
So you had no problems getting payment from them? Were they clear on how much or what percentage they held back, and how long it was held back, and did they pay it when the time came?
Have you had any experience with Epoch and Verotel? I keep seeing a lot of bad reviews and would like to get some first hand views from people on here.
The reviews have to be legit. Even the best reviews say stuff like, "didn't get paid for ages then they started paying me but have kept a lot...
CCbill - does not process Visa and Mastercard in Australia
Epoch Systems - also does offer a service to Australia. Also have a very poor reputation
Verotel - they do Australia but they have a poor reputation
The link in the signature - can't find any reviews, limited information on website...
Because the main payment gateways that cater for high risk don't offer their services in Australia. PaymentCloud, SecurionPay, EMB etc don't offer their services in Australia. I assume this is because local merchants will not come to the party.
If I have a company in Europe, Hong Kong or...
