This is very very accurate. I've been having this problem with majority of the EMIs - why to require the application processing fee upfront if you are confident enough that your compliance will let me through and open IBAN for me?

Can you elaborate here a bit more. From the security perspective, would not you be safer and better off to hold your money with EMI rather than a traditional bank?

So Bankera holds an EMI license itself? I checked the website and it says they are registered agent of another EMI. Curious why an agent and not own EMI for a company that must be valued at 1bln (assumption based on 150mln raise fact)
