    BVI vs UAE (Freezone)

My guess is they'll tell you that, due to domestic and DTT Permanent Establishment rules, you're due to pay corp' tax in Thailand. Not saying you can't get away with dodging the issue but...

    Cyprus - geopolitical risk

Thanks for replies... Yes, I agree there's geopolitical risk but I'm finding it hard to quantify. (And EC regulations risk - though that's a separate issue.) Would rather not be jumping countries during daughter's education. EDIT - A quick search on today's news articles isn't reassuring...

    Cyprus - geopolitical risk

Looking into moving to Cyprus, setting up company, etc... I'll be taking wife and young (pre-school) daughter so, although I could just try it out for a year or 2 then move on, I'm interested in settling there for some time - like for my daughters schooling years. I'm concerned about current...

The list of non CRS countries 2019 - 2023

Can reporting be a 1 way thing or does it only operate if 2 way? Eg. would a country that started with CRS/OECD in 2017 report info annually (or on request) to a country that's signed up but not due to start reporting until 2023?

    Offshore trust holding crypto?

I doubt it but worth an ask... In Thailand (legally - as you'll all know you can get away with a lot in Thailand), crypto is classed as intangible property - so is with you and not a foreign asset - so residents can't (technically) do the next tax year dodge (+ Thai authorities see any exchange...

Best EMI for Cyprus resident Company?

After reading here, it looks like banks in Cyprus won't open business accounts for resident Cyprus companies if the company is just to process crypto > fiat exchange withdrawals into dividends - and you need to use an EMI somehow. Can you use an EMI to facilitate the same process? If so, are...

Avoiding taxes on cryptocurrency trading profits (Cyprus)

Yeh, the details for capital gains in Cyprus are vague... From what I've read, you could assume that only immovable property in Cyprus is taxed - but I'd really like that confirmed by a local accountant. (Though, if going to trade actively then sure, best to use a company and dividends.) I sent...
