Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

Just the headache of WW taxation will make me leave Thailand. Even investments that aren't taxable in Thailand will need to be declared and have a whole host of paperwork. No thanks.

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

I'm questioning if Thailand is worth it even if WW taxation never comes in. Malta looks more and more appealing with the years actually counting towards getting citizenship and less chance of the government changing their mind all the time and throwing out ideas.

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

Can't see the privilege getting special tax treatment, that's owned by the tourism department and would eat into the LTR visa market which the thai gov consider much more important. More likely to see changes to the LTR visa types if they push forward with worldwide taxation imo.

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

I thought that, but getting a tax residency elsewhere to pay some tax caused more issues for me. I feel like I would have been better off not staying anywhere for 180+ days and being a tax resident of nowhere.

Not sure I agree, at 10k USD a month you'd get taxed less than that with dividends in countries like the UK than Thailand's 24% ish at that level Thailand offers pretty poor value with it's infrastructure, no access to healthcare, no path to residency

Thailand DTV visa and taxation/ tax residency

That requires a law change, so highly unlikely to come in for Jan 25, but it's possible next year. Would be silly but Thailand does want to milk foreign people What about hong kong and getting an exemption for corp tax? The USA LLC never made sense for me with the withholding tax as not...

Thailand residency with Foreign Income Tax exemption, possible?

You have to buy a 500k property or 500k of thailand bonds for wealthy global citizen and have a net worth of over a million. No one sensible is going to risk that in the thia economy. The professionals' category has other strings. If you don't bring the foreign money into Thailand then they...

Where to open an bank account for a HK company ?

What have you read? If your business activity is in the EU and you live in the EU it's not really possible to do this and save a lot of money. Likley opening yourself up to a whole host of problems in the future and fines with high interest.

Move Business & Stay Anonymous to Avoid Lawsuits?

I think something has gone wrong as this wasn't my post, it's far too good! The UK would pull me back into their tax if I stay more than 16 nights a year with family. If I do go back then they'll want the tax details for the last 5 years and look at taxing me on those. In the 80s popstars...
