Advantages vs. disdvantages of private banks?

Do you know if there are banks taking into account the negative rates on EUR for lombard loan? Or they have a floor at zero? For instance, with Euribor @ -0.50% and with a spread @ 0.70%, are you finally paying 0.20% or 0.70% is the floor they use? Several commercial banks are taking into...

Advantages vs. disdvantages of private banks?

Financing is the most interesting thing about private banks in my opionion. They accept a lot of assets (funds, stocks...) to guarantee a loan, commercial bank only usually finance real estate throught mortgages. If you negotiate properly, for > 1m/2m in invested assets, you can have only...

Ultrawealthy Americans are ditching their US citizenship in droves

I think people move there and then they become rich. No need to move there if you are already rich elsewhere.

Investment company for long term stock investments

I had a look but it's not clear if I can keep on directly managing my money and it looks like it's something not accepted on Spanish/European law.

Investment company for long term stock investments

Thanks, Spain resident with US stocks portfolio. I already use loans against it using Interactive Brokers. The main issue here for me is really the US estate tax, not really the capital gain tax.

Investment company for long term stock investments

But if you move stock from personal account to a company account you create a tax event right? It's a sale you made and you have to pay taxes in case of capital gain. Taking a loan to avoid tax would be using shares of the company as guarantee right? The loan should be on your personal name...

US estate tax for non residents on stocks investment

Ok thanks - I would be interested if someone knows about some real case involving US stocks in European / Asian bank account. Question is if tax is really paid... when stocks are carried in a omnibus account is probably harder for the IRS to know the real owner, especially if the account/bank...
