By saying "in the same situation" I meant we are a UK company looking to open a local bank account. Your right however. To solve this we have to have a director who is a UK resident. We are working on this now. Thanks for replying.

I am in the same situation. We have a UK LTD with a corporate bank account in Cyprus but we need a UK account as we deposit cheques issued from UK gov and the Cyprus bank's charges are insane and take over 2 months to proceed. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

How is this anonymous? Won't the Cyprus or any other country's bank need to know the UBO? Won't the bank report to the UBO's home country in regard to CRS? Won't the UBO's country tax office register the company as local due to the "place of effective management" clause?

Hey kekmaw at which banks did you open accounts in UAE? I opened at both Mashreq and NBD but I hesitate to fund the NBD one because of lots of bad comments I read about them on the internet.

If you don't do the residence visa procedure that is a bit more complicated, the procedure to form the company is fairly easy you just put some signatures in some documents. Just be careful that some free zones (like RAK) want audited financial statements every year to renew the company's...
