My KFT is currently based in Újlengyel instead of Budapest. 0% local business tax.
Many accountants have warned me, because these are usually small family houses where 200 companies are registered and called a "company cemetery". But you just have to choose a good provider.
UK LTD sounds good...
Hello!
I'm a Hungarian tax resident and the sole owner of a Hungarian KFT (Design & IT services). Due to some clients' preferences (GB, NL), I need to establish a company in a more "prestigious" country. My question is: which country would be the best for this purpose?
As of 2024, the Double...
I would recommend Crystal Worldwide (Business and offshore consulting, tax planning, asset protection - Crystal Worldwide) they offer legal, accounting, auditing, residency, virtual office and director/management services not only for Hungary.
There are smaller towns where no local business tax exists and they can be used as bases for companies. However the bureaucracy is still significant agree.
I understand what you're saying but unfortunately I have to do something because from 2024 there will be no double taxation treaty between Hungary and the US, I think this will affect my current operations 90% of my clients are from the US. But I'm not sure, maybe as a sole proprietor it doesn't...
Sorry but I'm confused, if the US LLC is a pass-through entity then its income will be included in my personal tax return, right? 15% personal income tax and 13% social contribution tax, no 9% CIT.
Or I can do anything as long as I live here I have to pay corporate tax at the company level...

I live in Hungary, all of these sound good. Could you name some exact countries I should study more?
Exactly, so I'll need a new citizenship right? Do you have anything to recommend?
How easy to do that? Without the hundreds of thousands of dollars in CBI programs?
Hello everyone!
I’m currently self-employed with Hungarian citizenship offering remote consulting service. Working long term with a US based partner for ~100k USD per year and also dealing with about 70k USD/yr of crypto that I get paid from an EU partner.
These are not large amounts so I...
Thank you all for your answers. It helped me accept that I'm not in such a bad position as a tax resident in Hungary.
I have been looking for the right accountant for many weeks. It's harder than I thought.
I got a remote job in the US, as a Hungarian citizen what are my tax minimisation options? Probably the best option would be to change residence, but is it worth the effort and initial costs for about 72,000 USD per year from that US company + ~48,000 USD / year from another individual (payed in...
