I find the credit card verification confusing, I never understood what stopped someone from just closing the credit card after it was verified. You have the ability to change your payments to go to another account , a check or even a paypal card so whats the point?

Why wouldn't you verify your account? They have almost all your information anyway. You can get their debit card and have your money downloaded to that if you don't want to link it to your card. Better to be verified

See linking credit cards is scary stuff, they can just reverse it right back out of your account and you are left arguing if it is wrong. I don't care for their rates, they charge to much on their card.

Yes you could have inadvertantly clicked on something that upgraded you. Paypal ha a tendency to add links for all sorts of stuff in its progrmming. Also the agreement says they can amend the agreement at any point

I don't thnk that banks give that information short of a supeona. I doubt they have the time or the manpower to monitor every single persons transactions looking for pay pal additions, and even then they have no way to know what the nature of the transaction was
