I transferred 20 EUR with TW.
Started the transfer around 12PM and went to sleep, and the money was there when I woke up.
Even though SQ website says 2-3 days for transfer, the money got there in less than 6 hours.
Looks like it works perfectly :) Hopefully with higher amounts as well.
Oh, I'm only planning to carry my savings over, so it's just going to be 1-2 transactions in total, and maybe 1 transaction every 1-2 months or so (with TW)
Shouldn't be a problem right?
Thanks a lot for helping out
That's good news :)
You just clicked the button where it says "Fund my account", chose Bank Wire and then sent the money from TW to that IBAN right? And which currency?
Thanks a lot
I see, does anyone know if Swissquote accepts transfers from TransferWise? I could possibly go for that option as well I think.
If not, my only option would be to do a SWIFT transfer with high fees :/
I recently opened a trading account with Swissquote, I was wondering if I can deposit money into my account from an account that's not in my name.
It's hard for me to send money from my country to Swissquote, so my plan is to convert my money into a cryptocurrency, and then withdraw it to my...
@Garret Gates Maybe they changed that because I haven't heard anyone talk about fees with Swissquote. I will try to find information about it.
@Fajosst Do you happen to know anything about the fees?
Crypto is too volatile though, unless you go with a fixedcoin like Tether I guess. Not sure if it can be trusted in the long run honestly, you never know.
Gold bars are definitely an option :D
Why do you think they're not a good option for saving?
As far as I know they don't have any maintenance fees or anything so it should be alright.
I've also checked CIM Banque but not sure if I want to be paying 90eur/quarter for practically nothing, but it's a good option to have if push...
I've been reading about them as well, not a real bank I think but they're quite big so it should hopefully be safe.
@Fajosst Which option did you choose when you made the account? Just trying to make sure I go down the right path hap¤#"
I tried to post a picture but it told me the post...
Thanks for all the information :)
I will be sending in an application soon and see how it goes then, Swissquote is my primary choice because they look like the biggest/safest bank out of the three I listed, and Dukascopy feels like more of a last resort.
I've been looking over Dukascopy...
How much did you have to deposit to make an account at Swissquote (if it's not private) and did you only check the box for Savings when you made the application or are you also trading?
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to move some of my money out of the country as it's becoming more and more unsafe to keep money in the banks here with every passing day.
Since I'm not an EU resident, I noticed that my options are very little to actually be able to open a remote bank account.
I'm...
