Question A way to get cash for everyday expenses in Chile

I received my Schwab international broker debit card and have used it. The cons is that it doesn't support contactless, some self service cashiers don't work (require signature or something). I asked support and their said practically I can use this card for whatever purpose. Limits are 500$ atm...

Residency options for Russians to be able to open bank accounts

I am not sure nowadays since they are changing the system. I guess it should be here Tramites_extranjeria (in maintenance), something like Solicitud de Residencia Temporal para Extranjeros, but I see only Solicitud de Residencia Temporal para Extranjeros fuera de Chile (apply from abroad). I...

Residency options for Russians to be able to open bank accounts

I’m on a non investment visa. OP exact requirements are not clear to me, but one thing to know about Chile is that the immigration system is very slow. Theoretically you can get citizenship after 2 years (1 year for temporaria another for permanencia). Practically it’s 2 years waiting for each...

Residency options for Russians to be able to open bank accounts

Not sure why you used genocide. If you consider Chile, you can apply for visa and get visa in process document. I have used it here and there, Swissquote and Dukascopy accepted it. That’s just a couple of months

Residency options for Russians to be able to open bank accounts

So I have a Russian passport and Chilean residency. Practically I use utility bills and less often my visa application paper to support my residence. What's not clear for me why you say residency vs tax residency - I assume it's the same? Citizenship is a different thing. Normally you say you...

Question A way to get cash for everyday expenses in Chile

Update: I got swissquote virtual card, so I assume I can get their plastic cards too. At least I can pay for online services with it. Unfortunately, it can't be added to Apple Pay. Also, if used with Apple it can only work in Swiss App Store.

Offshore bank or investment card comparable to the Schwab debit visa?

I am in the process of opening an account for them. They stated that the debit card which comes with international brokerage is to access investment, and not for a regular use. What does it mean practically? What if I buy Tesla stock on couple of k and use the card for everyday expenses?

Question A way to get cash for everyday expenses in Chile

I can bet there’s no Unionpay atms here. Looks like all of them are using the same provider under the hood, which means they all suck. There’s Aumenta tus ventas con todo tipo de medios de pago | Klap los provider which claims to support Unionpay, but it’s mostly small vendors I figured out I...
