UAE FZ close it or what?

But is there a way to do accounting if you've never used your company meaning that you stayed on your savings for the entire time of the visa?

Houthi terror attack in Abu Dhabi: Support pours in for UAE

As a newly established resident, I wholeheartedly agree. The UAE will only lose if they keep a dick measuring contest against Houthi. They need our money and workmanship (all of the millions of migrants here) and they need a status like Switzerland... but, as with every conflict, it's always...

Canadian moving to UAE - am I thinking about this correctly?

It's more or less what you still have in the country that determines this in their eyes.

Dystopian future for the unvaccinated odds

In most western countries, it's coming to a close. I'd venture to say places that need our money to survive won't be as ruthless but eventually, jab or not, it will become a dystopia. Then again I'm not the most optimist person alive lol.

UAE considering movement restrictions on unvaccinated residents - any insights?

Do they still enforce the mask outside?

Canadian moving to UAE - am I thinking about this correctly?

100%. I'm a Canadian living in Dubai and I had to do all of the above to be "compliant" with the crazy tax system we have. You could live in Dubai 10 years and still be consider a Canadian tax resident if they deem that you have ties or that you might return. The first thing I learned from my...

    UAE Dubai - covid passport

PCR test is all that's needed. I went last summer to register and that's the only thing they ask. Pretty sure it hasn't change.

    DLS-Dubai.com (Fred) - Reviews

I'm in the process of getting "friendly" with ENBD and, from what I've heard, 500k is nothing so when the time comes to put more, as Fred told me, they won't look as they'll see you as a HNWC and won't care that you trade crypto.

If worldwide tax gets implemented for every business, then it still wouldn't be too bad

100% agreed. You use or buy something, you pay for said use. The problem is that big tech seems to be working with the government. Especially in the US. Very few players outside of the bubble in Silicon Valley

If worldwide tax gets implemented for every business, then it still wouldn't be too bad

IMO, you're failing to see the precedent set by it. It's a minimum tax. So in places like the UAE it would be only 10% whereas a country like the US or Canada it could raise way more than the already 30% corporate tax. Also, the 10% in the current economy is enough to send most into bankruptcy...

    Crypto-friendly banks in UAE

How's the DBS branch in Dubai? The main office love crypto so wouldn't it make sense to go with them?

    Let's talk about the West

Having a 2nd citizenship is on my to do list. But I get what @FixieHartmann is saying. Not everyone will have the luxury of a CBI and not everyone has the opportunity to cut all ties and leave everything behind. Personally, once I leave, I'll leave for good. No intention of going back. And, as...

So what will they do? Can't come back to home country? Send a death squad in the UAE to grab you? Lol
