They are probably trying to avoid scrutiny. UAE has a rep for money laundering (fairly or unfairly, no idea). It will be hard for stripe to vet businesses, and they become a party to things if they mess up.
Stripe now has a trial in the UAE, just not publicly announced. You can DM them on Twitter about it. They are giving FZE's Stripe in the UAE currently.
@rowena, are you sure? So you can have a product made in China, shipped to a USA 3PL and then sell via a US LLC, then profit shift to UAE and that LLC is still considered a pass through tax free entity? What about sales taxes etc...
