    Best Country for Tax Residency

What are you talking about? No one forces you? Ok, so you can survive without eating? How is that not a gun to your head. Google "SafePass Cyprus", you clearly have no idea what you're taklking about.

"no-one forces you to take the vaccine" ... bulls**t. As I said, to buy GROCERIES - you need to have the vaccine or a valid PCR *EVERY* 72 hours. This WILL become mandatory, a rolling affect. And I could care less about Europe. I'll continue to move until I cannot move any more. I'm not just...

    Best Country for Tax Residency

I disagree, I refuse to get the vaccine. So, if I don't get a vaccine - to live in Cyprus I will need to have 10+ COVID tests per month to buy groceries. That's tyranny, and I will not be a part of it. If you believe the vaccine is benign, that's ok, you're free to take it - I do not and so I...

    Best Country for Tax Residency

Probably not something you'd be interested in due to the language, but I am choosing Paraguay for my tax residency. It's terratorial tax based, and also only 10% even if it wasn't. They have 100% renewal energy from hydro so the local government is actually trying to encourage crypto miners...

Costa Rica is no longer viable, they are ditching territorial taxation very soon.

    Personal Accounts in Europe?

You can open in Georgia remotely (with Bank of Georgia), I have an agent who I can refer you to who charges $600 EUR to have it done remotely.. I am waiting to get her to help me as Thailand isn't part of the hauge convention so it's a pain to get documents certified (which I can easily do in...

Best country for a freelancer / digital nomad post-covid

Yeah, they have actually posted officially stating they will not chase digital nomads. The main problem with this, it's almost impossible to get a tax file number here. That's why I am leaving Thailand, I've no way to prove to my home country that I lodge tax returns :(

Best country for a freelancer / digital nomad post-covid

Yeah, those are some reasons why you might not want to choose it. I'm still looking for one (lawyer), or deciding if I will do it solo. To do it solo is possible, but it takes longer because you need to first rent somewhere and get a utility bill. And yes, if you're single :) Or like me, want to...

Best country for a freelancer / digital nomad post-covid

Ugh, so I had some agents get back to me about Cyprus just now. A lot of the things I had trouble with seem like they aren't a big hassel, they are: 1. You don't need to setup a company there, you can get residency by renting and showing you earn $40k EUR/year. 2. You will obviously get 100%...

Romania was and still is on my list.. I at least want to spend some time there for sure.. How do you get in though? I know they are bringing out a new digital nomad visa, but what can you use to get in before that comes out ? (like to stay for more than 3 months).

Have you considered Paraguay? It seems like some of the countries you mentioned are similar to it. The weather is ideal I hear as well. I'm also a software engineer and looking to move there at the end of the year. You can get a permanent residency by putting $5k into a bank account for 3...

99 problems and a country is one

Not sure if it's helpful, but for my own plan, which surrounds getting a very large sum in the next few years.. I am setting up in Paraguay, which is tax exempt for foreign income (and only 10% if it's not). You can get a permanent residency by putting $5k into a bank account and get it in 5...

After few good years, EMI (do not want to publicly display the name of the bank) suddenly ask for a document that does not exist

Just apply for an EIN, they are easy to get. Takes about 2 weeks. I was in Australia when I got two last time. Once you have an EIN you can also use Mercury | Banking built for startups as well (as someone who doesn't reside in the US).
