Bulgaria Gets Green Light for Eurozone

I have to admit that I've never visited Romania or Bulgaria, but I know Poland well. Is Poland considered expensive among the eastern countries? They don't have the euro and their economy seems to be doing well. Although it's become far more expensive now!

Wise froze account - what to do?

It may also be due to the people that Wise employ and the power (or lack of it) that they have. I once had my Revolut account frozen when trying to send a small amount of money to our son who was a student. Their web chat was a joke. A different person each time and their English was...

Wise froze account - what to do?

You're talking about these guys? 2022 27 June The Financial Conduct Authority has opened an investigation into the chief executive of Wise almost a year after he was fined by HMRC for deliberately defaulting on his taxes. The Telegraph last year revealed that Kristo Kaarmann had been fined...

Wise froze account - what to do?

you should use Wise only with funding the account from real banks and not EMI to EMI their AI tends to block Accounts with EMI to EM I have funded Wise from my Revolut account for the past 5 years with no problem. To be honest, I have never thought about EMI to EMI. Then I use Wise to fund...

Has anyone problems with Chrome lately?

Superior in that you get answers that you need, rather than answers that Google thinks that you need! Try it out sometime.

Has anyone problems with Chrome lately?

I use Firefox, Opera and Brave. For searches I use Duckduckgo. Far superior to Google. Haven't used Google search for many years. But I still use Google location/maps when travelling. You have to switch on Location for this.

Can you find justice in a courtroom?

I work in Italy and one thing I have learned is to stay well clear of any problems that require lawyers. The only time we used a lawyer rather than a Notario (solicitor) was to certify some photocopies in English. Contact me if you ever need a very friendly English-speaking lawyer in Milano...

POLL Prepping for Uncertain Times – Are You Ready?

i can confirm this... while i was away years ago my relatives tried to take ownership of all of my assets (real estate, land etc) in my home country... with fake signatures and everything. Worse than criminals really. Yes, I sometimes read sad stories in the press about siblings and relatives...

POLL Prepping for Uncertain Times – Are You Ready?

But the definition of doomsday can vary a lot, as the posts have shown, let's say 0 -100%. At the lower end of the scale, a short war/natural disaster/ virus creates chaos but the authorities get things moving back to normal asap. At the other end, what's the point of stockpiling food...

POLL Prepping for Uncertain Times – Are You Ready?

I do something similar but in my case it started as a result of the chaos at the start of Covid when the TV showed people leaving the supermarkets empty. We keep about 1 month of food in our basement, lots of rice, pasta, lentils etc and cans of stuff with long expiry dates and I keep a list so...

    proton (BTC) wallet

-- 'we have a few generations of "adults" who think their money is a credit/debit card and consider cash a boomer thing' -- Yes, and what I find amazing is that all this information from cards and store loyalty cards is sucked into servers 'the cloud' and available to anyone who wants it...

I'm still learning about this. Which exchange/ wallet would you recommend for full control/privacy and how would you buy/store XMR?

I'm pretty sure that if the smelly stuff ever hits the fan, Dubai won't be so friendly to non-UAE people.

Spain targets big spenders: New rules for high-value card payments coming in 2025

I have a similar feeling when I talk about cash, debit cards, pensions etc. Younger people haven't yet developed the healthy cynical and pragmatic approach as older people. They don't see the irony of our governments lecturing about 'privacy' while trying to force us to give up cash and allow...

POLL Prepping for Uncertain Times – Are You Ready?

I may try something like that, but I would like to see the quality of the construction and how fast you can reload! With a normal bow and some practice, you can reload in a few seconds. When you are able to handle a more powerful bow, you can buy arrow tips like these...
