Funny thing about tourist areas is, that everyone wants to rent out their apartment to holiday makers in the 4 summer months. So there are many cheaper offers when you only rent from October to May. But if you are renting year round for a 2 bedroom luxury apartment with communal pool be prepared...
I have moved from Germany to Portugal mid 2022. But I moved to the Algarve not the North and didn't buy property. I was thinking about buying for a while but I don't feel I will stay here long enough to make it worthwhile.
Rents are through the roof compared to the median wages. Real estate...
I saw a Youtuber advertise Digital-first banking solution. When you're crypto bags are too heavy this seems to be an easy way to off ramp into fiat.
You can buy crypto like at an exchange but at the same time you have an IBAN account where you can pay rent. You also get a multi currency credit...

I started Nov 2022 as a freelance Software Developer in Portugal. Is the first year until the end of 2022 or until Nov 2023?
Can you please share those accountants? Unfortunately I can't DM you
Dude ... love your name :D
And yes, for now it seems that in Cyprus, only cash out to fiat is taxed. Let me know how it works out for you.
Like you already do and @wife changing money said, stablecoins are low risk. If you want to stake (yield farm/liquidity mine) in medium to high risk DeFi...

Got me there :D
Great catch. Yes it is :)
I will have a look into those. But from what I read, people go to Panama to save on tax but don't really stay there for long and look for other options.
So in the end it...
True. Unless you're somewhere without income tax (UAE).
But what about territorial tax systems. Let's say I use a platform of a company based in Singapore that does the Liquidity Mining for me. So the source of income is clearly outside the country where I would live. That shouldn't trigger...
I suppose there are different definitions of store of value than. If you look at Michal Saylors definition, that guy that pushed Bitcoin at the end of 2020 to a new high, I would agree that Bitcoin is at least some kind of a store of value (not all cryptocurrencies though). And if your time...
You should definitely not move to Germany. Not because it's cold but because they will tax the hell out of you. Only crypto that just sits there for over a year and does nothing (no farming, no yielding) is tax free.
I haven't been in the UAE but from what I read this might be the best options...
I read about the Portuguese NHR status:
"According to the rules of non-habitual resident NHR status in Portugal, most foreign source income is exempt from Portuguese income tax for ten consecutive years, as well as income taxable in another country."
@WIE7 Thx, good to know. How about instead of operating a third company to live somewhere where payed out dividends from that holding to me is tax exempt?
Hi there.
My wife and I are thinking about moving from Germany to Cyprus. Our main source of income will be from Crypto DeFi, especially Liquidity Mining. I haven't seen many threads or articles about DeFi and Cyprus anywhere so I hope someone has practical insights on this topic.
Is it better...
