Visit Hong Kong - personal bank account?

Try Bank of China and tell them you're going to deposit 200k HKD later.
how should that help if the money does not come later on? to me it sounds stupid.

They open the account waiting to receive the money later. If you don't deposit for some time, the account gets closed.

okay, sound fair enough. Same as I have seen other banks do if people open accounts and nver use them.

I had a Bank of China account in HK back in 2015 but ended up closing it. Back then I was able to open with just a passport and that's it.

Does anyone have any experience re-opening a bank account? I know I'd have to start over but just wondering whether my previous history with BOC would help or not.

Citibank will ask for 1M HK$.

Most others banks will ask if have add in HK, Work there, Pay tax...

Also it's will depend about your nationaly... It's up to them o_O

A lot agent can help according how much money want to deposit there
