Too much competition, and Saxo was literally the only broker imposing a custody fees as a % of your assets on the platform when I evaluated them in 2020. This is a no go for me

Reason was geopolitics and decoupling as I mentioned before. This was decided a year ago. Also its one of the reasons Geely divested its majority share holdings of Saxo. Don't buy or hold Asian stocks via any western brokers.

I liquidated my HKSE holdings yesterday for a 34% gain over 14 months. Definitely a risk getting into Chinese stocks, as the markets are not transparent and untrusted, definitely not a long term hold, and in hindsight had I just bought more Bitcoin I’d be better off on a YoY total gain basis, but I try to diversify my activities. I’m staying out now and watching for many of the reasons mentioned.
