Hi all,
Just an opinion post and would like to know yours.
I see a lot of posts asking if it trustworthy to use emi s and if the money is safe.
I used emis since 2 years at least without problem and then i lost a lot of money with them: blocked account, no answering anymore to me my customers or lawyers.
So at this point i m in process to open my own emi's will take at least 3 more monthes.
But for now and it s a personal opinion.. I dont trust in emi's anymore.. I should recommend to open account only in real banks..
What is your opinion?

What was the reason for the block? what business were you into?

Where was EMI based and can you give the names please?

I have a bit exposed the cases in a different post.
My main business is b2b consultant agency wich means offer to my customers, creation of companies, bank account, leads so lets say services to b2b.
My customers it s sales on the net ( high tech products) or direct b2c sales of green energy products.
We asked what is the reason. We all received the same answer " the dedicated department will let you know asap"
Asap = more than 3 monthes and still no answer.
Well we got a court for the end of this month we may have finally the answer.
Before you ask: we speak about kosher business annd money

For my case I never had such trouble with the EMI I use. I'm always carefull to not have more than 10K€ in each account I have (so yes I have many EMI account).

I'm a SEO/Webmarketing consultant (it's not a self promotion) so we have the same characteristics.

But, I have actually a trouble with one of my EMI, they get trouble with wavecrest and loose their partnership with the bank who was holding the fund, so it's impossible to withdraw my funds, and they tell that it's very hard to have a new partnership with a european bank. So I think that in the mid/ling term put a lot of money in a EMI it's not a good idea at all.

It was the purpose of my post @W4rhol.
I will not use the big words.. But i should give the tip to not let big amounts in emi if you still use them.
I m working on building my own emi like i said. It's cheap and relatively fast.
It's not the big deal that everyone thinks.
So be careful with letting big money in.

All EU licensed EMI are trustworthy.

They are however bound by AML/KYC laws, and value holding on to their license more than catering to a "shady" customer ho brings in low feees.
  1. So if you used darks: game over.
  2. So if the money sent is not from a reliable/verifiable source: game over.
  3. So if the money is often sent from strange uncommon accounts/countries: game over.
  4. Same goes for real banks.
So is a EMI trusted, basically is a question about how well your business dealings are suited for the current financial area.

Hi Milky Moon,
Reading from your message it sounds like you don't agree for darks to be used on EMI's am i right?
Basically my question is, if you registered a proper Belize IBC for example and opened a real bank account with the Belize IBC and additionally opened an EMI account with the same Belize IBC, is that better to transact between the two or.. is it really that much more beneficial to use darks rather than a legitimate offshore business?

I don't understand what it is you say here, can you please elaborate?

Don't use darks for licensed EMI's I'm aware of some people here are opponent of darks for good reasons, personally I had great pleasure using them for some of my setups. I use the "dark" entities in connection with real setups.
