10M.+ optimization tax residency when you have 3/4 bases.

in Thailand you can get two in one. ;) More seriously, these setups will work for a while until they catch you. If you are not really a tax resident in any country, I wouldn't be surprised if they revert to the concept of domicile vs tax residence for reporting, etc. And the first one to go...

What investment is making you 10%+ yearly?

As said previously, a covered call is selling options on the underlying while holding it (the underlying can be anything: equity, fixed income, commodities, etc.). By doing so, you sell the volatility implied in the price of the option and hope that the realised volatility will not be higher...

What investment is making you 10%+ yearly?

With 1y US Treasury at ~5%, just be aware that the 5% premium you get means a lot of risk (country + bank). Each to their own but this is anything but a risk-free investment. (for context: Ecuador has defaulted 10 times in modern history)

UK Tories explore scrapping non-dom tax status

Very informative. Thank you for the post! I am always amazed that the authors of these reports don't see a problem when their conclusion is: "Our estimates suggest that abolition of the remittance basis would lead to 0.3% of remittance basis users(77 people) leaving as a result of the reform."

UK Tories explore scrapping non-dom tax status

Not quite true. Family, business, local assets, kids at school, social network, local mistresses etc ... make the relocation not that easy for many of them even if they have assets elsewhere. You won't see people rushing out tomorrow just yet. As often we tend to overestimate the impact in the...

Who are the most aggressive and least aggresive tax authorities?

They don't ask. They take whatever they want and send you to count snowflakes and break rocks in a penal colony north of the Arctic Circle. If they are nice they will send you a postcard with a court judgment.

    Bond selector tools

You can start from the tools available with your investment platforms (IBKR, Saxo, Bondsupermart/FSMOne, etc.) or private bank. They have their own limitations though. Public data on bond prices is usually not the most reliable and pricing data are almost always off. If available, it is still...
