Hello, I received my first big check and want to make this money work instead of sleeping in the bank.

Actually I have 100k usd to invest right now, and then 2-3k$ every month.

Obviously I’m here for the long term and will not need the money any soon. 15-20 years.

My only question is, should I invest those 100k right away? And then DCA like I said 2-3k every month? Or should I split the 100k and invest it progressively ?

I’m all in SP500.

Thanks

In my opinion
Invest all 100k in SP500 = Voo (0.03%) cost
Dca 2-3k into Voo.
Some might think it is not diversified but I personally believe in the US economy.
If you want to play safe, go for VT : Vanguard Total stock market, you will own piece of every valuable company in the world but you make less than Voo.
As Warren buffett said: don't bet against America!

so you guys when playing poker go ALL IN at the first round?
surerly diversification is important and dont try too hard to time the market, but all in sp500?
there are other type of investments to consider even simply through ETFs: real estate, commodities, bonds.
Some markets could be in trouble now (e.g. China) but could be a great buy opportunity in 2 or 5 years time, who knows.
You wish to buy sp500 on the all time high? Good luck
