100 days to use or hand over 20 and 50 Pound banknotes

The Bank of England will be withdrawing legal tender status of paper £20 and £50 banknotes after 30 September 2022.

There are some who wonder if this is due to the ultra high inflation that the UK is struggling with or if it really is a new and safer banknote.

At least it's a really good example of how to get rid of black money. How to get people to spend their saved money and get extra tax revenue.

It's completely ridiculous in my optics.

Reading the article - - the old Paper 20s and 50s are being phased out - - the new polymer ie plastic and don't get destroyed when you leave them in your pants and put them in the washing machine are in circulation instead.
So "cash" isnt being replaced
