I became beneficiary of a substantial inheritance the funds of which had been sitting in an overseas fianance company for over ten years. There was difficulty in accessing the funds because the rogue finance company wanted a large cut of the money before it could be accessed. My finance' overseas secured a lawyer in order to move the money from the finance company, who would then get a cut for his service.

In their wisdom, the lawyers used IMF as the fidiciary with World Bank doing the transfer to my own overseas bank account. As we trusted the lawyers because they were specialists in this field, with only being familiar with World Bank, but not for international transfers.

I dealt directly with an IMF director who was to assist with the transfer. I had to activate my WB account within seven days or a penalty would be imposed. I thought I had activated my account, but was told it was not activated and also WB had changed my account number. With this WB imposed a fee of $50,850, to be paid in another seven days. At that time, I could not raise the $50,850, so then that was off the table and the IMF director imposed a charge of $450,000. So unbelievable, but true.

My millions was now locked up in WB with no access to it. World bank have no interest in individual account holders, have no transparency and consider themselves above the law. A costly lesson for us and using parasite lawyers.

Pete.

Is this the time where I provide my bank account number and forward cash to Nigeria after my hefty commission? :)

What's described is not how IMF and the World Bank operate. If any of it is real, let it be a lesson for others to perform basic due diligence.

But the text sounds more like fan fiction or the beginnings of a scam email thread.

Sorry OP this is some nonsense you have written and an insult to peoples intelligence on here. It is not based on any facts based on how the Worldbank or IMF functions. This has the hallmarks of a typical scam based on an imaginary story. To protect any unsuspecting members I have closed the thread and issuing you with a strike.
