Hi,

I have asked if my dutch bank Abn Amro, if it was possible to open a bank account for a business located in Ireland and they refused it. So now, imagine what it would have been if i would have asked the same question for a Belize company !!

Abn amro is known for it's strict rules and regulations. I wonder they will refuse you again. I'll suggest you to talk with a good reputed agent, they will find you a way definitely .

ABN amro Bank is not worth to spend a single minute on if it comes to offshore banking. However, cool you tried to get an account with tme.

What did they actually say to you. Just per definition NO take a hide or did they requested more documents and bakers reference letter maybe?

ABN Amro bank netherlands can be good for businesses in Europe but consider them in an setup of offshore companies you may simply forget about it. You can by personal visit open an account with them for even a Belize company if you have done business there before!

I think they are a good bank for European businesses. IF it was possible to open an account there for a Belize company your setup would look pretty much legit I think.

You may use ABN Amro Bank for European business only. As far as I remember they have branches (like many other Dutch banks) in some offshore jurisdiction so you what you may do is to check where and then apply directly with these branches.

I agree with Jack. You need some professional help from Agents since that bank is very strict and you don't have a choice if you really wanted to open an account.

Exactly my thought. ABN Amro is the leading bank of Netherlands. They have branches half way across the globe. But do they provide offshore options?
I think they did that by the past. But now, they stopped because they have been busted by a local dutch newspaper. So now, Abn amro stopped all their activities related to offshore. They don't do bank reference letters, they don't open bank accounts for foreign companies.
However, Abn amro is not that bad. I have performed big money transfer to central america and europe and i had no problem with abn amro.

They may probably follow the banks in the other countries to which the same happened.
