Today I learned that AI can generate passports that pass most compliance tools available.

On one shoulder there is a little devil seeing all sorts of opportunities. I dont think I have to elaborate on this one.
On the other shoulder I foresee a nightmare in the making. For instance, when tools cannot be trusted it becomes human work again which will create a huge backlog / delay for anything where identification comes in place.
I expect in that sense in the coming months huge delays with incorporation of entities regardless of whether they are on or offshore and also with the opening of bankaccounts.

Specifically the bankaccounts opened by people from country A with an entity in country B and a bankaccount in country B or C will be affected by this.

Am I missing anyhting? Anyone here also able to shed a light on this AI passport development?

what I see behind this case is an enormous risk any user of such a service is taking unless it's somehow miraculously self-hosted solution
using AI tools is such a friction-less experience that people easily forget that their data is the price and will be used for whatever purpose and sold to anyone willing to pay

Using AI generated passports is pretty extreme.
I have to admit, I don’t really believe they’re of much practical use although the idea does sound kind of sci fi.

More and more banks are requiring Zoom interviews to open accounts. I think that's because of AI created passports. But I also expect AI to be used for Zoom calls, using real-time DeepFake technology.

It would be a lot easier if banks just stop KYCing. Are the governments really making more taxes with all these requirements? Most people dutifully obey the law, so this KYC is only targeting a small portion of people, some of whom still stay ahead of KYC anyway or in my case, don't use them at all. They can't be making that much money. All this KYC is just creating a normalization of Big Brother.
