Hi All,

I am looking for the best offshore jurisdiction for a classifieds website, the criteriums are as follows;

1. Cheap and easy to set up the company with payment processor
2. Zero to as little tax liability on profit/income
3. The company will be owned by my holding company in Gibraltar
4. Example of classifieds website like freelancer or autotrader etc, where the income will derive from people posting items or services.

Thanks in advanced look forwards to your advice.

Best regards,
AHK

You use a UK LTD as a billing company for, for example, a Cyprus company which is then owned by your Gibraltar company. This setup allows you to make a lot of maneuvers without attracting attention as long as the turnover isn't too large. When it becomes substantial, you can transfer all transactions from the UK LTD into the Cyprus company to benefit from the lowest taxes and pay dividends from Cyprus to Gibraltar.

Would it not be more attractive to use an EU company for billing as credit card fees are lower?

Regarding incorporation, zero tax is difficult or comes with other problems, we have a big discussion here
For payment processing etc. probably Singapore or Guernsey are the more attractive choices. But you will soon have the place of effective management question, unless you are travelling or elsewhere flying under the radar.

You would probably do well to speak with a tax expert in the country where you live to verify your idea and avoid getting caught in a tax trap.
