Sub zero interest rates of course hit banks, they are not allowed to take risks after the financial crisis so one of their main sources of income which is government bonds pays zero

Deutsche is exposed to German bonds which pay sub-zero, that's the reason why they are struggling

Do you even know how banking works besides it being the place where you park your money as an alternative to the mattress?

banks hold long term assets (loans) financed by short term liabilities (deposits)
