Coinbase regulated as broker for EU (crs) ?

Is coinbase regulated in the same way as traditional brokers in Europe for CRS purposes ?

Question is if CB falls under regulated broker definition = ie if they are reporting more than just end of year account balance automatically (gross proceeds from sales etc)?
From threads here and all around interwebz, it seems like they are only reporting to EU countries on request.

They have their own EMI, so technically they should report imo.

As long you don't provide them with any KYC you could care less. I would never user them as an EMI!

I am interested if trading activity gets reported automatically or just end of year balance.
From information it seems numerous EU tax authorities have to request information first.

They report everything to the IRS in the US 100%, however in the EU, I'm 95% certain that the authorities would have to request information first, and Coinbase are obliged to only report end-of-year balances in FIAT, duo to their EMI license.
