Hello everyone,

First of all, I hope everyone is doing well. I think I've posted this in the right place. I've been using PayPal since 2017 and I have a legal company. I started looking for alternatives because bank commissions are very high. Are there any online banking companies where I can add a EUR DebitCard to my PayPal account? I tried Wise, but the Wise Card is not yet active in Georgia. I found a site called Bilderlings.com, but they charge 1,000 EUR and say, “We might not open your account” after you pay that amount. It's a 1,000 EUR account review fee—that's ridiculous.

Anyway, is there any online service that offers a strong digital banking platform and accepts my company in Georgia, providing an EUR Debit Card (Visa or Mastercard)?

Thank you.

Thank you for your valuable ideas.
  • I have already applied to paysera.com, but they said, “Since your company is located in Georgia, you must be a Georgian citizen.” My company is located in Georgia, but I am not a Georgian citizen.
  • I've had a Zen.com account for two years, but I can't link it to my PayPal address. When I contacted PayPal, they told me to contact the Zen team, and when I contacted the Zen team, they told me to contact the PayPal team.

I will definitely try wallster.com and altery.com. If there are other companies that offer EUR Virtual Cards, I would like to evaluate them based on their commission rates.

One question. Are you trying to use PayPal to make purchases online in EUR? Then maybe, you can open an EU PayPal account and link an EU SEPA bank account?
Hello Daniels27

I want to withdraw the money in EUR.
The reason I want a virtual card is so that I can onlineshop and transfer my PayPal EUR balance to my card. So I need it for both purposes:

I will withdraw cash and use the card for online shopping, and I will link my PayPal account to the EUR Virtual Card.

Regards
if its Georgian company use solo.ge

Hello Schlossfinanz,

Thank you for your message. Solo.ge uses a Bank of Georgia infrastructure. Bank of Georgia has a monthly transfer limit of only EUR 5,000 (they set this specifically for my company, and I cannot increase the limit). This is insufficient for me.

Transfer money from PayPal onto a random debit card? Does this even work?

In my opinion the way to go is
  • Open a personal EU PayPal account
  • Open a personal EU bank account and phone number
  • Friend-transfer your EUR balance from your business PayPal onto your personal PayPal
  • Withdraw your personal PayPal money onto your personal EUR account
  • If possible widthdraw the money, otherwise contine
  • Make a SEPA transfer to your personal Georgian account
  • If necessary do a 30 day time deposit in Georgia
  • Close the time deposit and get your EUR in Tbilisi

Hello,

Thank you for the valuable and great information. Actually I tried them but I am a citizen of Turkey and when I opened my personal European PayPal I encountered some problems. Here is what I tried:

  • I opened a personal EU PayPal account (paypal is banned Turkey), when I transferred the money there from my company paypal account in Georgia, I paid 6% paypal commission per each transfer (there is no paypal fnf payment in company paypals), 6% bank commission, 2% transfer costs and a total commission of 15%. The sum of my income and product sales is sold with 30% profitability. So I paid 50% of my money to the commission.

6 Months have passed and PayPal has “permanently banned” my personal European account. When I asked why, they did not give me an explanation. It was utterly ridiculous and annoying.

Transferring the money to EUR Debit Card seems to be the most logical option at the moment. So I am looking for a EUR Debit Card (to add a link to my paypal account).

Regards

Normally when sending to personal accounts, there should be a friends option, but not when sending to business accounts.

But in this case why not send the money to a personal card? Or use a EU business PayPal account?

What countries does PayPal Georgia allow card transfers to?

Hello again,

- We have never had an FNF payment on our company account. Even if we send it to a personal account, there is no FNF option on PayPal. We asked our customer representative about this, and they said that FNF payments are closed because we have a business account.

- We were already receiving the money on a personal card. However, bank commission rates have risen significantly, and the bank has limited card usage due to high deposit balances. We cannot receive payments exceeding 5,000 EUR per month. Additionally, the currency conversion spread is very high.

- PayPal generally allows EUR debit cards. However, as with Zen.com, PayPal issues a warning and does not allow us to link our ZENCard, even though we have linked it.

It is working on all my PayPal business accounts.

Which countries are your customers from? Europe or US? Just get a PayPal business account in the same jurisdiction and call it a day.
