Hello,

My plan is to create a company (or foundation) in an offshore jurisdication, which will then own a company in Hong Kong where the business will be operated.

So the purpose of the first company (which will own the HK company) is simply to provide increased identity protection. The first company/foundation will be a "holding company" for the HK company which actually does the business operations.

With that purpose in mind, what do you feel is the best country to locate the company? Seychelles? Panama company? Panama Foundation? Somewhere else?

Let me know what you think. And please provide a reason for your choice, as that would be most helpful.

Thanks!

Seychelles companies are much easier to start and only require one director, whose name - unlike in Panama - does not appear on any public records.
From what I understand about a Panama Foundation... the beneficial owner (protector) is not required to be listed publicly.

So wouldn't it essentially offer the same protection as a Seychelles company?

I'm confused.
