Dissolution of the Seychelles company

I'd like to cancel my company in Seychelles.
My agent says there are 2 options. Immediate cancellation of the company for $ 1500, or second possibility that the company will disappear after one year of inactivity.

I asked about second option with another agent, and he says it's nonsense.

What do you think?

It's not nonsense. Failure to pay the annual fees initially serves to increase them with late penalty fees. But after 180 days the registrar can strike it off. This is done each January 1st. So if could be struck off between 6-18months depending on your renewal date.

You can also renew a company that is struck off the register for up to 7 years I believe, though with relatively high costs. Keep in mind striking off and dissolving is not the same. There are still legal liabilities and responsibilities that could remain for those 7 years by simply letting it be struck off.
