Hello all,
If anyone has experience, can you advise about the process for residence permit renewal in Dubai for the FZCO owner and GM? So far I deducted the following.
1. Get medical blood test.
2. Submit application for residency renewal via the Amer center or online.
3. Apply for visa renewal via IFZA online ( 72 or 24 hours for 1500 AED)
4. Wait for the card delivery.
Has anyone been going through this ? Is it a correct process?Any other documents needed? Is it possible to finish it in 5 working days?
Appreciate your help.

Right now it is not possible in 5 days. Immigration is really slow at the moment. Not even with double VIP (VISA and Emirates ID) But it is the right flow, that you mentioned

When you have done your emirates typing, and got your resident VISA you can leave and then let the currier or someone else, send your emirates id to your home country address

Sorry for the additional questions, really appreciate you sharing the knowledge. Do I need visa to be stamped in the passport? I understand that courier company is not really much choice, is it really possible to redirect the delivery with them?

If anyone needs information about renewing a Dubai residency through the IFZA Freezone Authority (formerly a DLS client), here is the process I followed:

Please note that my objective was to make it fast and don't stay longer than needed.
  1. Set up a mailbox account with mail forwarding.
  2. Scheduled an appointment for the medical blood test. My price was 750 AED, it may be too much but I had my results in 30 minutes.
  3. Arrived in Dubai on Sunday evening.
  4. Completed the medical test at 7:30 am on Monday.
  5. Visited the Amer center, approximately 100 meters from the medical facility, to obtain the Residency ID renewal form. The center opens at 8:00 am, but you can get inside earlier.
  6. Was third in line at Amer; waited around 30 minutes because there was only one staff member on duty in the morning.
  7. Provided my passport, ID, and photograph. Had to supply my mailing address, UAE phone number, and email address via WhatsApp. Fee was around 350 AED.
  8. Received the service confirmation form.
  9. Filled out the IFZA visa renewal form and paid 1750 AED for VIP processing (24-hour turnaround). Normal processing is 72 hours. You must submit the form and payment before 11:00 am. You must have medical test results and ID renewal form confirmation beforehand. IFZA had a specific requirement for scanned documents (maximum 400 kb), so I used an app to compress my images. Aside from this, the process was straightforward. IFZA sends the employemnt contract for signature to both the sponsor (myself) and the employee (also myself). They request several documents (Establishment Card, MOA, license), but if you're renewing, you likely have these already.
  10. Tuesday: Visa issued. At this stage, I could have departed Dubai.
  11. Thursday: Received notification from ICP that my Residency ID card was printed. I left Dubai Thursday morning.
  12. Friday: Checked Zajel courier's website for tracking updates. It was received and is on route.
  13. Saturday (today): Awaiting notification from the mail forwarding service regarding the card delivery.

I can provide you with specific addresses from my experience and IFZA links if you need them. Just let me know in this thread, and hope you can save some money with more optimal trip.

I didn't know you needed to redo the medical check for a renewal. So the renewal process seems to be similar to the process of applying for the visa in the first place, isn't it ?

This is one of the most annoying parts of the setup even though I am frequently in Dxb or nearby.
I had to originally go and pickup the ID from an office the first time... I didn't realise they send it...

Aren’t there any agents offering company setup and Emirates ID services who can also receive the ID on your behalf and forward it to an address of your choice? It’s hard to believe a service like that doesn’t exist.
