So flights are getting more and more expensive and i'm trying to find a solution to reduce costs as my traveling will increase.
Any tips how to realisticly reduce costs for international flights?

Current Scenario with the airlines are seasonal and specific...at the moment months of June - Dec, considered high season as such ticket prices peak Globally, as the holiday season kicks in..

Do try multi leg tickets, with a specific airline of choice. as these would provide access to codeshare tickets via the airline ticket desk..

you lay out the proposed itinerary/dates etc, the Galileo platform routes appropriately.

probable options would be touchdown at your specific destination, purchase onward tickets as per your next stop via regional airlines, plying the same route as Global airlines..

regional airlines are quite budget friendly, though it all entails your desired destination as well as multi city stops.

you made no mention of Your intended touchdowns and city stops, thus abit vague towards pointing out a few perks.do take into consideration your travel dates as well as this determines how low/high tickets might cost..

TopTip: if a frequent traveller do enroll for air miles, club miles etc all relevant towards cutting down overall ticket costs, confirmed ticket booking/purchases way ahead of your actual trip dates does factor in..cig-:,

Miles Miles Miles

I collect miles via my cc ( + payback when I'm in Germany ), gets me around 2-3 flights a year for free
100%
That is the real hack, there are many ways to collect miles. Choose the right reward credit card, emirates skyward miles, or ENBD I personally like AE to pay for my business and personal expenses and ear miles. You can also buy miles without applying for any CC

I fly internationally 10-12 times per year. I always fly business or first class and I have never paid for a single ticket for the last 4 years. I always use my credit card miles. Obviously, miles depend on your spending but even if you spend less($1-2k per month), you still get free tickets with credit card miles. The most important thing is your credit card choice but I can't recommend a credit card because it completely depends on your country.

How much are you spending a year on a card to cover 10-12 flights?

I have several miles cards for UAE and my home country. ENBD Marriott and Skywards Infinite cards are good but if you want to earn maximum miles, then you should go with Emirates Islamic Skywards Black card. It has a $1200 annual fee but you can get about 7% back with this card. There are also some combinations for example, you will get %70 more miles for any purchase in Dubai Mall. That means if you spend $100.000, you will get Emirates miles worth $12.000, which is basically 12% cashback!

My other mile card is from my home country no need to mention details because %99 percentage of the forum is not from my home country but it is more than 2x better(about 25-30% back) than UAE cards but unfortunately, I can't use it with Emirates Airlines.

You will not earn Skywards Miles on: credit/debit card receipts
