The thought of a lawyer running off with my funds does suck. But I can't think of another way to keep my name off the bank account for a Wyoming LLC.

How serious is the risk of theft by nominee? Is it super infrequent or does it happen regularly?

If your nominee is a licensed/registered lawyer and he goes rogue then I guess the funds he has run off with was worth throwing away his entire career :(.

If the nominee is a man on the street working for a CSP or accounting firm then very likely they will run off with funds at some point. It also comes down to how shady a business they are nominee for. If they know you are up to no good and money on account is huge then they know there is little chance of you going to authorities to complain ns2

I know of Swiss bankers back in the day who invited clients to deposit cash and then told them to leave the bank without the money before the police arrive. It does happen and goes unreported. They kept the cash naturally and lied about calling the police.

Be careful.
