How do you cut your living expenses in this bad economy of ours? Do you have any tips and tricks for people that are trying to make a living?

First of all I shut off my PC's when I don't use them, secondly I don't use money for anything I don't really need.

Don't try to cut the costs, increase your earnings. Scout online for some part time jobs, like writing reviews of the things you like, do paid forum posting, take paid surveys, try stock photography, or if you have blog add Google AdSense.
