IPN Set up

I I have a few questions about IPN set up. I am trying to set up a members only subscription area on my site, where by pay pal can generate the usernames and passwords. So far I have designated a protected directory through a realm on my hostings company server. 1. In the IPN set up it is aked to submit a URL where you receive notifications. Is this the URL were I will place my pay pal subscpition button?

I'm definitely not at all familiar with such kind of web-development but I can tell you that I think you don't have to put in the paypal subscription button. As you say that its a URL where you'll be notified, I think it really means that. Maybe they're asking you for your e-mail or something b'cos that's how people are usually notified.
