Is that any correlation between Traffic and Pagerank?

Yeah, usually high traffic ranks have higher page ranks, but there is no actual relation between page rank and traffic, except that one is calculated while the other is organic(get the drift??).

Page rank is determined by the number of back links to your website and the page rank of the back link.

If a site has high page rank, there will be more links to the site and since there are billios of people online, some are bound to click them, thus resulting in more traffic.

That's possible if the website's backlinks aren't clicked. For example, if I own a site xyz.com and go around in lots of different high page rank forums with a lot of posts with my site's link in my signature, I'll automatically get higher page rank. But if no one clicks on my site's link, then I'll not get traffic.

It's clearer to me now. Thanks for your explanation, Sidd. Do you know how long estimated time needed to increase pagerank from 0 to 3? If all we need to increase pagerank is backlink then I supposed submitting our site in a lot of directory will do, am I right?
