Hi everyone I am new to this and i felt I needed to get on this platform to get the extra knowledge to which I can’t read about through google searches etc…

So my situation is this I am based in the uk.. I have a couple of businesses with security company being my main one I generate decent income so I thought it’s time to set up a solid structure.. I own 2 property’s one in the uk and one in Spain.. Because of my involvement in security I am liable to be attacked by people trying to sue me plus other situations as security doesn’t have a great name in terms of business my insurance is ridiculous!

After reading and researching my plan was this… To open 2 companies in Belize with 2 Panamanian bank accounts.. nominee director on company 1 with company 2 as 50% shareholder on company 1 also.. company 1 to purchase the uk and spanish property and hold them possibly to create a trust LLC and company number 2 to take in some of my income..

just thought this set up creates space and layers of protection? Or am I over doing it? I should sit down with an expert really I know but it’s finding the right person for that as my circle is quite small So just thought would run it by you guys first.

Belize and Panama make things unnecessary complicated, what I would do is to look in the direction of Cyprus, Nevis, New Mexico or some of the many other offshore jurisdiction discussed here already.

Make sure you have a stable and rock solid law firm behind your setup, there are 99% of amateurs around which you don't want help from.

If you are based in the UK you will pay tax in the UK regardless of Belize\Panama or wherever you establish a company. So don't bother with BZ\Panama as most likely you won't be able to open any bank accounts for these companies. Belize is considered to be one of the worst jurisdictions these days.

Sounds like what you are looking for is asset protection, if that's the case there are plenty of experts in the UK that should be able to help you, as you guys practically invented trusts.
