Hi Folks,

In order to avoid legal problem in some countries, i will need to set up a company for an escort website.
To get straight to the point, i'm a bit lost about where i should incorporate the company.

I was thinking about Cyprus. Is that a good plan ?

I have read a thread (from 2009) from someone which has the same problem.
What about 2016 ? Cyprus is good destination with director nominee for privacy ?

If they are some provider ready to help me, they can put their proposals here.

Warmest regards,

L.

Escort service is most often considered an illegal activity and compared to the Adult Entertainment business which I doubt is allowed in Cyprus after all. What is it exactly you earn money on, maybe you have a link to a website similar to yours (or you can post a link to your website) so we may have a look at it.

There seems to be an option for company registration at least in Cyprus and Seychelles. However, for banking I doubt it is going to be possible to use a Cyprus bank nor any other offshore bank for your business.

The banks get scared when they just read the word ESCORT!! You will need to get your business camouflaged with something different for this to work.

Hi folks,

Our website isn't an escort ads website (as the thread could have let you understand).
The website list all adult business. As we do have a category "escorts", it easy to think that we are JUST an escort website.

Actually, we already have a company and got an payment processor (with a bank which accepted our business as normal business instead of high risk business)
We need to go offshore in order to protect us from strict laws from countries like USA, France and so on..

I wonder which bank and payment processor you use?

Actually let me clear one common misconception about prohibited services and whether you are about to mask it when establishing a bank account/service/etc.

If there is an actual legal reason on services you cannot offer (e.g. in laws specifically regarding offshore companies), then you may be able to craft your business intelligently enough to not to pass the illegality threshold.

However, if a provider declares by their rules that some kind of service are not allowed, you will not be able to get around the rules by being clever, unless you outright lie (which I do not recommend). That's because in the end, they have full discretion on deciding who to accept and who not.

So whenever someone says they do not allow adult services, and many of them do, expect even the closest indication of an adult services to make them close doors for you. It doesn't matter for them whether your services are specifically escort or not, if they mention they do not allow adult services, they are going to enforce this strictly. Just my 2c

The payment processor is CommerceGate and bank is from the holland.
ahh Holland that explain how you can be in business they have no restrictions on your business! :) Why are you looking to setup somewhere else.. why not pay the tax in Holland and be happy, focus on your business?
