Selling Homemade Products?

My mother want to sell some homemade products by setting up a website. What is the best way to start with? What are chances of success in this business?

If she is new at selling her products, she might want to try it out on sites like ebay or newer ones like 1000Markets. If she is good at what she does, I don't see why she should fail.

I agree with Heather. It takes a lot of time before anyone could see some sales on their site. It would be better if she would start up with EBay or even Etsy to sell her products.


Both of these sites already have their audience.

Agree with Machida and Heather. Ebay has million traffic so it will be easier to sell your product there. You can create a website if you want while promoting your product at Ebay... then tell your customer about your website so if they want to buy your product again they know where to find you. With this way you are not only selling your product, but also promoting your site.
