At least for Cyprus companies which are also LTD's / Limited companies.

This applies for all companies all around the world, it make sense since you will not be personal liable for any activity in the company (except criminal activity) while with a sole proprietor you a.. will be burned if something goes wrong! I learned that some European country have huge amounts that need to be paid in Share capital while others don't have such like UK and Cyprus!
